Chicago Air and Water Show
It was another amazing show this weekend, but, alas, the crowds got to be too much for me. I had sand kicked across my blanket from kids running up from the beach one too many times. Some people conquered this by setting up borders with caution tape (see below), but this ended up leaving much less space for the rest of us to cram into. Next year I’m either finding a rooftop deck or getting a group together to rent a boat. Anyone with me?
I live out by Ashland a couple blocks from Belmont… we had the jets setting off car alarms around me… it *sounded* like a good show… I’ve actually never gone to see it, and your pictures confirm why — I’m not generally up for tight crowds like that… I get stabby.
Wow! That looks pretty ridiculous! Despite it being packed, it sounds like a lot of fun. And renting a boat for it next year sounds like a fabulous idea! You know, since I live in Chicago and all…
