Bad Romulus

When I first moved to Chicago and started my “real job” after college, I immediately open a new savings account and labeled it “furniture.” I was tired of having an futon in my main living space, and I wanted my home to look like the furniture was actually supposed to go together. Since Jeff and I moved into our downtown apartment last June, we’ve been slowly but surely piecing things together. Our latest addition was inspired by a blog I recently discovered called This Young House, which introduced me to West Elm where I found these storage cubes. They’re perfect for our apartment—not only do they look like they belong with the rest of the furniture, they also give us some extra space to hide our clutter.

Unfortunately, Romulus likes them too.
